Mid-Hudson Energy Transition (MHET) is excited to launch our Energy Efficiency Campaign! This campaign is designed to help income-eligible 12401 residents save money, improve their home’s energy efficiency, and live healthier lives—all at no cost to you.
What's Included?
MHET will provide eligible homeowners and renters (with landlord approval) with new energy-efficient appliances, including:
Induction Stoves
Replace inefficient gas or electric stoves to eliminate harmful indoor pollutants from gas appliances.
Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWH)
Upgrade to a modern water heating system that saves energy and lowers utility bills.

Who Can Qualify?
This program is open to low- and moderate-income (LMI) households in the 12401 zip code.
We especially encourage the following to apply:
- Households with seniors or young children.
- Residents facing high energy bills or utility debt.
- Renters who pay their own utility bills (need landlord approval)

Are you a contractor looking to support this program?
We are looking for qualified contractors to support the installation of energy-efficient appliances through our Home Upgrade Grants (HUG) program. Contractors selected for this program will handle appliance installations, ensure compliance with safety and permitting requirements, and provide the necessary documentation. To promote a diverse and competitive contractor pool, we strongly encourage applications from small businesses and Women and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (WMBEs).
